ABOUT THE MAKER...
Beth Benton is a designer maker based in Nottingham, specialising in print and surface design textiles for home interiors. A recent graduate of Decorative Arts from Nottingham Trent University, who loves exploring industrial textures and mark making along side digital and chemical manipulation.
Beth brings her debut designs of abstract luxury cushions, inspired by Nottingham City architecture, to the market.
Handcrafted and developed with consideration these unique cushions will add a contemporary but cosy edge to modern interiors.
What I love to do...
Drawing
All designs start at the drawing board! From intense tonal depth to quick sketchy line drawings, my process always begins with observational studies.
Photography
Sometimes there is no better way to capture the form itself with the way the light has fallen or the depth created by obscured darkness.
Painting
Always a great way to play with textures. I have a passion for exaggerated surfaces, using various materials mixed in paints to add a rough finish.
